In Kayzen platform you need API keys for reporting, creating an audience and for passing events. In this article, we will show you how to access these three API keys in the Kayzen platform.

Note: You can access the API keys only if you have admin login permissions.

Reporting API key

The reporting API key is used to access the performance data at an advertiser level and to pass your pre-defined audience (used while creating the 1st Party Audience) using API.

  1. Log in to your Kayzen account.

  2. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner.

3. Switch to ‘Admin Console’.

4. You will be redirected to the settings page and you can access your reporting API Key.

Note:

  • If you are accessing the secret key (is to be treated confidential and should be shared with only relevant team members) for the first time you need to click on ‘GENERATE SECRET API KEY'. This is required only for using the Reporting API.

  • The reporting API key is used in two places, one is to access performance data from Kayzen platform and the other is for sending the audience list to Kayzen platform.

Apps API key

The Apps API key is used to pass events of your App/Website to the Kayzen platform.

  1. Log in to your Kayzen account.

  2. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner:

3. Switch to ‘Admin Console’.

4. You will be redirected to the settings page. On this page, you'll see a list of Apps/Websites created for your account.

Note: You can refer to this link for creating an App/Website in an Order.

5. By clicking on the App/website you will be able to get your Apps API key.

Note:

  • Every App has a unique API key, in order to pass events specific to an App/Website you need to click on the App to access the Apps API key.

  • If you have integrated MMP platforms then you have to add Apps API key on the MMP platform to enable us to identify the events for a specific App. (You can refer to your MMP related articles in this section)
